About The Artist

I am a self-taught artist located in Leicestershire, creating a diverse range of wildlife to portraits and landscapes paintings. I work with many different media such as watercolour, pastels, coloured pencils and airbrush. I create unique and vibrant pieces inspired by nature. My attention is focused on details in order to captivate the audience and to represent the subject faithfully. The observed subject becomes a mirror for my inner most yearnings and emotion. 

I am a big outdoor enthusiast, recreationist and advocate and that's what inspires most my paintings. When I was young, I kind of saturated myself with it as the years went on. Growing up in the countryside, I remember filling my notebooks with anything nature related and even to this day, I love collecting natural objects when i'm out and about enjoying the fresh air and using them to either paint my next subject or make a gnome/fairy houses for my son. It is a great way to find craft materials and get inspired to paint something new. 

I have such a deep passion for art, as far as I can remember art and creativity has been a huge part of my life. I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. Anything relating to art or learning new techniques sounds like heaven to me. I love learning. I love telling stories through my art. There's power in every beginnings. There's wisdom found through trusting yourself and believing that you can achieve anything you put your mind into.

My ultimate goal of using wildlife to paint/sketch is to convey the importance of conserving wildlife and the habitat it needs to survive. I believe that as a visual artist, I have a real opportunity to make a difference in the world.
