Polly Parrot 56 x 76 CM - Mixed media painting
This stunning Macaw painting has been painted in acrylic and coloured pencils, the composition has been based upon numerous jungle images from the photo library and trips around the world. I started by blurring up the jungle photos and placing them behind the macaw reference photo to see which one looked the best. Creating an out of focus background wasn't the easiest task due to the complexity of the composition. I am very happy with the finished painting, the photograph might be inferior to the amazing colours that one sees when viewing the painting in real life.
The majority of paintings are done on Arches Aquarelle watercolour paper, I use high quality materials to produce my paintings. Arches Aquarelle watercolour paper has a harmonious natural grain and is made of long 100% cotton fibres and is acid-free. So, as long as you frame and store them properly, the artwork will last a very long time.
Delivery
Paintings are delivered flat in a protective packaging. Framed paintings are carefully wrapped and sent in a protective cardboard frame box. All prints are professionally printed using high quality fine art materials and suitable for framing, the high quality of the print allows you to see each and every brush stroke with as much vibrancy as the original drawing.
We use Royal Mail, including the Special Delivery and International Signed-For service that require a signature on delivery, this includes Limited Edition Printsand Original Paintings. Please be aware of the possible difficulties encountered when not receiving delivered goods in person.
